Lucy is a mobile app that was designed to provide entrepreneurial women everywhere with the tools they need to take control of their financial future, realise their potential, and to grow and thrive.
Lucy noticed a huge hole in the market; women entrepreneurs are overlooked when it comes to funding, receiving just $1.9 billion compared to men who have amassed $83.1 billion.
Lucy’s financial services and app helps transform lives, families, communities and countries. Lucy helps to bridge the financial divide through increasing financial literacy.
Lucy was looking for a website that perfectly reflected their values; professional, sophisticated, modern.
Their content needed to be presented in a clean, clear and sharp manner, through a purposeful user flow pattern, that begins at the home page, then directs visitors to a page focused on positioning (about), then to explore more content (love) and finally to a ‘call to action’ to have a visitor download the Lucy app, purchase the Lucy bag, subscribe via email, or make contact for enquiries.

Our Approach
Lucy operates in a competitive environment – finance – and is designed to help a very niche target market – women entrepreneurs.
It is crucial that the website functions at the highest level to build and maintain trust, to help position Lucy as a global authority for entrepreneurial women.
To achieve this goal we completed a deep-dive with Lucy’s key thought leaders so we could understand their target market intimately, mapping out each key step in the customer journey.
The development teams main aim was to provide a platform that supported all of Lucy’s sales and marketing initiatives, so they could position the company to attract new leads and increase website traffic.
The Solution
Visually striking, the Lucy website features trust factors on every page – such as affiliations, certifications, case studies, and the most comprehensive team page we have ever seen – all designed to position Lucy as knowledgeable experts who can be relied on.
When visitors land on the home page the first thing they see is a unique Lottie animation, expertly added by the design team to optimise the wow factor of being an unstoppable woman.
The completed website integrates with Lucy’s Shopify store, so visitors to the website can easily purchase a Lucy Tote to help support the project.
Integrating Lucy’s Instagram feed with their most recent 16 posts added a modern feel to the site, keeps visitors up to date with their social media posts, and encourages users to follow the brand in a simple manner.
Chillybin’s expert development team delivered a custom, responsive, retina-ready, HTML5 WordPress child theme powered by the Beaver Builder Framework that meets current best practice web standards.
