Overview

The Australian Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique (AUSTAT) partnered with Chillybin to update their website and migrate their community and content to a new platform. The primary focus of the project was to create a website that offers different levels of access to resources based on membership tiers.

The Problem

AUSTAT's existing website lacked the functionality to effectively manage and control access to resources for different membership levels. This limitation hindered the organisation's ability to provide targeted content and resources to its members, resulting in a suboptimal user experience and engagement.

Our Approach

We collaborated closely with AUSTAT to understand their unique requirements and develop a tailored solution. The project involved several key steps:

Website Update and Migration

First, we updated AUSTAT's website and successfully migrated their community and content to the new platform, ensuring a smooth transition.

Membership Tiers and Access Control

Using powerful tools like Beaver Builder, Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), and Paid Memberships Pro (PMP), we implemented a system that allows AUSTAT to set different levels of access to resources based on membership tiers. This ensures that members only have access to the content and features appropriate for their level of membership.

Resource Management

The new website enables AUSTAT to efficiently manage and organise their resources, including videos, events, and documents. This streamlined approach makes it easier for members to find and access relevant content.

Membership Upgrades and Approvals

We also updated the website to include a "friend" level for signups and a feature that allows members to upgrade their membership directly on the website. This upgrade process is subject to approval from AUSTAT, ensuring that membership tier changes are managed effectively.

The Solution

Our world-class development team delivered a comprehensive solution that addressed AUSTAT's key challenges and enhanced the overall user experience for their members:

Tiered Access to Resources

The new website offers a clear and structured approach to resource access based on membership levels. This ensures that members can access the content and features relevant to their tier, providing a personalised and targeted experience.

Efficient Resource Management

AUSTAT can now easily manage and organise their resources, including videos, events, and documents, through a user-friendly interface. This streamlined approach saves time and effort for the organisation while making it easier for members to find the content they need.

Seamless Membership Upgrades

The introduction of the "friend" level for signups and the ability for members to upgrade their membership on the website simplifies the process of joining and progressing within the organisation. The approval process ensures that AUSTAT maintains control over membership tier changes.

Enhanced User Experience

The updated website provides a modern, intuitive, and user-friendly interface that enhances the overall experience for AUSTAT members. The improved navigation and access to targeted resources encourage member engagement and participation.

A catalyst for engagement

With Chillybin's expertise, AUSTAT now has a website that serves as a powerful platform for managing and delivering content to its members. The tiered access system ensures that members receive resources and features appropriate to their level of involvement, fostering a sense of community and value.

The efficient resource management and seamless membership upgrade process streamline operations for AUSTAT, allowing them to focus on their core mission of promoting and supporting the Alexander Technique. As AUSTAT continues to grow and evolve, their new website acts as a catalyst for engagement, learning, and collaboration among its members, strengthening the organisation's position as a leading authority in the field.

Chillybin's team was incredible! They delivered a complex, feature-rich website that exceeded our expectations, launching on time and on budget.
